11/ 2012 Premios Gardel: Eternal Sunday wins best electronic album

The compilation Electric Future Beats: Progressive: New Electronic Music From Argentina won the Premio Gardel 2012 award to the best electronic music album released in 2011. The compilation was released by Eternal Sunday and features 8 tracks by underground music producers from Argentina. The idea behind the album was to release something that contained in its title the words “electronic” “music” “Argentina” since an online search returned none.

The Premios Gardel awards are Argentina’s equivalent to the Grammys and one of the few music awards in Latin America. They are organized by CAPIF, the Argentinean chamber of music labels. This was the 14th edition. The ceremony was held at the Usina del Arte, La Boca, Buenos Aires, and was broadcasted live on cable TV. A big after party with a red carpet was given, too.
