Plastic Orgasm People

Plastic Orgasm People
Biography

Plastic Orgasm People was an electropop band from Buenos Aires whose members were Alejandro Marino and Emiliano Canal. In 1999 and 2000 they shared their songs via Mp3.com (the first real music related social network) and got around 30,000 plays and downloads while most artists from Argentina (with songs in English) had an average of 500.

Their style included catchy songs and intelligent lyrics beautifully sung by Alejandro, who was usually mistaken for a native English speaker. In 2001 their song “The Meaning (Of Love)” was included in the Electricity compilation released by Ninthwave records, USA. In 2003 they released The Meaning (Of Love) EP. Alejandro left Argentina and the duo never recorded again. Emiliano Canal formed Canal Pop and later became the owner of Eternal Sunday records.
